The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who recitesSurah Yunus, is given ten rewards for each person who testified forYunus and who denied him, and according to the number of thosewho were drowned with Firon.
For pain of the legs, thighs and sides write it on a baked clay utensil, which is clean, then fill it with pure olive oil and heat it onslow fire and massage with it.
Whoso recites this surah once in two or threemonths would have no fear of going into the camp ofthose who live in ignorance (infidels); and Allahwould raise him on the day of judgement in thegroup of the favourites of Allah.
Whoso recites this surah would get the rewardmentioned in its verse 26 :“For those who do good is the best reward and more.Neither darkness nor ignominy shall cover their faces.
They are the dwellers of the garden where theywill abide for ever.” iii) Whoever recites this surah his reward would beequal to the number of the persons who have testifiedAllah or belied Him.iv) Whoever writes this surah on paper and keepsit in his house alongwith the names of all inmatesany intrigue by any of these would be disclosed tohim; whoever writes this surah on a tray or chinaplate, washes it with clean water, kneads flour withthat water, cooks it and gives a slice of the loaf toevery one, the real culprit would not be able toswallow it and would make confession of guilt.
